Postcards from Camotes

Spent my Holy Week in Camotes. Had fun. Lots'a fun actually. Camotes is simply....simple! 81. The number of cars I counted during my four-day stay. No big buildings. No factories. No big industries. It's plain, but it ain't boring. Natural sceneries covered up for the malls in the city. It amazed me how their public beaches seemed like beach resorts. And oh, I had a swim in VIsayas' largest lake--Lake Danao. We also enjoyed the boating, and the tiny island in the middle of the lake. It's calm and serene, much like Camotes life. We took jumps on their quiet roads, and we took off and landed on blue waters of Puertobello. Santiago and Bakhaw was just as awesome as beaches I was seeing in the postcards during my childhood. Lake Danao is just so...beautiful! Even their ports aren't polluted unlike ports in Cebu City. For short, my Camotes trip was just simply amazing. Here are some of Postcards from Camotes. On Threesome

Dunno, but these words popped out while I was making this picture. I was a neophyte to Photoshop then. I did not even know that what I was making was black and white. More so, the way I lassoed myself is a bit problematic for I cannot totally control my hand, or was it only shaking? Nevertheless, I made a rather exceptional piece for a newbie that is into editing pictures.

So why a "threesome?" Pardon the use of words, but this is the best way to start what I am about to say.

A definition from freedictionary.com says that

three·some

n.

1. A group of three persons or things.

2. An activity involving three people, especially a golf match in which one player competes against two others who alternate their play.

adj.

Consisting of or performed by three

So, whoever said that "threesome" is unethical, perverted or at least not suited in formal conversations? The use of word in the realm of lust, sex and romance led to its MISuse in any aspect. Many words are already victims of these misconceptions--words that are supposed to mean the other way but are used in a very rude manner; words that are once associated with animals but are currently used as curse words; words that are used in promiscuity. It's like an object losing its true meaning, or a person aliened with ones right. These problems might be due to inability of the English language to provide appropriate words for the appropriate act or thing, and it is not easily solved. It is with ourselves that we use our language the proper way it should be utilized.

what i did with the floral brushes...

The original photo was taken last December 2007. I edited this photo using Adobe Photoshop CS3 the summer of 2009. The ladies are my best friends back in Agusan del Sur, Philippines. Two of them are in Davao City while the other one is in Iligan City.
